Gratefulness - A priority

I think a lot, maybe more than I should. These are just things that I think up while I’m on long journeys.
We often take things for granted without even realising it. Nothing is ever guaranteed to us, it could be here today but we may not have it the next day. They say that you don’t know how much something/someone means to you until they are gone. The truth is that you knew exactly what they meant, but you just didn’t think you would lose them. Harsh, I know. When I asked the question what makes you feel good the first thing that came to my mind was Ice-cream. Maybe because it is unusually sunny at this time of the year. I don’t know if I’m the only one who does this, probably not, but when my refrigerator is loaded with goodies I’m never in the mood to gobble them all up. Once they are all gone and there is nothing left I have this sudden urge to eat anything and everything!
Some of us are in need of a reality check. We have so much, more than we think. If you are under a roof with warm clothes, food and water, God has blessed you with more than enough. Yet, we still complain, about a rainy day, bad food, broken nail, bad hair day and list goes on..
There are people in this world who are content with what they have, even though they have nothing. People that are happy to be alive – maybe not healthy, but breathing. People who find happiness in the smallest of things. You cry because you don’t have the latest phone, others around the world cry because they have no food for their family.
Reassurance is the key. It’s always good to have some loved ones that you know will be there no matter what time of the day it is. Never take them for granted. Like I said life is not guaranteed to any of us. You can never tell what might happen tomorrow. Keep in mind that God has blessed you with these people for a reason.
Reaffirming that you have done good thing will attract goodness to you. The better you feel the better life gets. Find happiness in the smallest things. Tell your loved ones how much you love them. Realise what you have and be grateful for it.

This pictures speaks volumes. They may not have much, but they are happy enough playing away in the rain.

Growing Old Vs. Growing Up

Often we forget that we will never get the moments we spend each day, each minute, each second back. Ever. They will be there in the back of our minds as a memory we will always cherish and look back on. On one hand there are the moments we don't like to look back on and on the other there are the ones that put a smile on our faces instantly. School days are one of those memories you will always look back on and laugh each time you remember all the crazy things you did back then. It is hard to pick just one memory when you are asked what your favourite school memory is. They are countless and equally special to each and every one of us. Growing up is a choice, but growing older is a must. You can't escape it. Don't grow old, just grow up. Smile if you are happy. Make mistakes and learn from them. Be kind to others. You won't be any younger than you are at this moment.

P.S - If you give me bubble wrap I WILL pop the bubbles like crazy.

Much love! :)
